Marianne Williamson on Y2K
From: Margaret J. Wheatley
Date: Thu, 1 Apr 1999
An Excerpt from a recent chat session with Marianne Williamson:
Question:
What recommendations/feedback do you have in reference to the Y2K issues?
Mariannes answer:
God's time is eternity, and that intersects with linear time at only one
point: the present. The future is created in the present. It's the only
time there is. The year 2000 will reflect today's choices.
I feel we are at a crossroads, with one direction going towards mass enlightenment
of sorts, and the other direction moving towards a scene of global destruction.
I know that the vast majority of people hold love in their hearts, and we
have everything we need to make the choice for light and love in the 21st
Century.
What we still lack, however, is en mass intention, focus, and devotion to
the goal. That's our next step, as a planet but also as individuals. We
all have so much data, so much knowledge, so many resources. Now it's time
for us to ask ourselves whether we choose the maturity and personal courage
it takes to put into action the principles we believe in. What an extraordinary
time this is! To embrace the possibilities, particularly to embrace them
passionately, is to feel a wave of power coursing through your heart.
